Prioritize critical journeys. You can't test everything. Focus synthetic monitoring on the flows that matter most—the ones that generate revenue, retain users, or fulfill your core purpose.
Combine with RUM. Synthetic monitoring and Real User Monitoring answer different questions. Synthetic tells you "the site works from these locations." RUM tells you "here's what users actually experienced." When they disagree, you have something interesting to investigate.
Validate deployments. Run synthetic tests against staging before promoting to production. Catch problems when the blast radius is zero instead of discovering them when real users arrive.
